Amazon recruiter response
Hello community, I cleared the Amazon online assessment for sde2 role and got an onsite request for Seattle location. However recruiter just gave me 2 weeks of time for onsite, I told recruiter that I need atleast of a month time for onsite. For which recruiter replied I will get back to you after talking to team on this. It's been like 3-4 days I haven't yet heard anything. I kept follow up emails no response either. If this recruiter did not respond what are my options ? Can I work with another recruiter since I completed the online assessment is it still valid ?
My boyfriend works at amazon and does hiring. They have so many more than qualified applicants they just hire the first one that passes all the “check points “ You could even have an interview scheduled and if the hiring team agrees on the candidate before you, your interview gets canceled.
Can I work with another recruiter to check job positions for a different team? With the same online assessment that I have completed?
Lol not really. Your recruiter owns your profile for 30 days so most other recruiters usually wont work with you. Your recruiter could share the profile but it doesnt always happen.
They have certain timelines sometimes for closing the req. so better follow what they say, else they have huge number of applicants who would be ready to interview the next day. It has already happened to me once with amazon. The link that they gave me to schedule the onsite allowed only 15 days to select from. i asked the recruiter for more time, they scheduled also. But later they told me the position got filled so they would forward my profile to another hiring manager.
Why did u apply if u need a month to prepare ?
Lol I already have a vacation planned during that time period. I just gave the test on the weekend, on the same day recruiter messaged saying you did good come to onsite with in two weeks. I thought I would have some buffer time.
Sometimes, teams have multiple candidates for 1-2 positions and they might hire someone if they find fit
