Amazon (sde2 Seattle) salary negotiations, strategies / advice.

Hi I was wondering if anyone can share salary negotiation strategies / real world stories? I have so far kept the basic strategy of ask high, expect them to go low. But how much back and forth is advisable? Should I keep pushing until they either give me the TC I'm looking for, or say "this is our final offer"? At what point am I being too pushy?
