I have an L5 offer for Amazon (no comp info yet). I'm also expecting an offer from Microsoft next week. Now, I'm cleared for onsites with the following companies: Compass, WeWork, Snap, Twitter, Coinbase Do you think any of these companies would compete with Amazon's offer (both in terms of TC and career growth potentials)? is it worth doing onsites and exploring opportunities with the other companies, or would it just be a waste of time? Sad to see you not just consider WeWork but list WeWork ahead of Twitter and Snap.
List is in random order :)
OP saw this and went "Hold my beer" by adding coinbase to the mix
Snap.
Snapchat has incredibly high comp so ya, they can outdo google and Facebook too. It's just how much faith u have in stock
Is this for non-tech roles as well? Inquiring minds would like to know...
Snap will outbid Amazon. WeWork was hiring aggressively and tried their best to match offers the last I checked.
Snap will likely not bid, because their offer will already be better. Maybe ask for a small signing bonus if you have a higher competing base.
WeWork no doubt. Best potential. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Lol
highly depends on the org/team/product at amazon (and other companies as well). which team/org is your offer from?
AWS org. Team not decided yet.
you should seek more information about the team of this offer. you don’t want to end up at a terrible aws team
Twitter > Microsoft > amazon > snap in terms of learning opportunity. Snap > twitter > amazon > Microsoft in terms of $$
Thanks!
Wow this is so wrong lol
Twitter for sure
Twitter for learning, Snap for TC. though having worked at both FB and uber, snap’s eng opportunity is underrated. tons of potential for impact and lots of smart coworkers
I'm interviewing with Snap next week, so it's great to know!
Lmao wework
List is in random order. Just listing the options I have.
