Amazon vs. Microsoft
I currently have offers (corporate position) from both companies and I’m torn. Amazon is providing more cash upfront (stock which vests quickly and bonus) but the base pay is at the AWS cap. Microsoft is matching the base pay but offering less cash up front (smaller bonus) and equal stock that vests slower. Microsoft has potential for higher base pay in future and annual cash bonuses so it fees like I could make up that lost Amazon cash over time (its a gamble though). Would love insights into culture, Microsoft annual cash bonuses and whether they can be counted on (as long as my performance doesn’t suck of course) and any insights in AWS employees who are capped out on base pay but still feel like they financially gain with the stock. Thanks!
Microsoft benefits are a lot better. But stock wise, from here on out I feel AMZN has more potential to gain.

Microsoft: Base 160k, 45k bonus (lump sum), 125k stock (25% vests in year 1). Potential 15-30% annual cash bonus and potential 40k max annual stock bonus. Amazon is offering 160k base (at cap, can never grow), 62k cash bonus (some up front some paid out over 12 months) and 75 RSU’s total, 15 of which vest by end of this year and the remainder over the next 3+ years.
don't just take it for granted that MS will have better wlb. try to meet the teams

I think Microsoft stock will outperform all FANG going forward. Add better wlb and benefits, it's a no brainer
