That's actually right, that's what I said. And it's true. It was a wrong choice in my opinion, and of course there was fraud within the DNC to project Hillary as the defacto candidate and arrange extra limelight for her in the media, and also manipulating polls. But whatever it was, it resulted in people actually consciously choosing Hillary over Bernie in the primaries.
@d92ng2 Although the two items you suggested to use the money may be a good use of the money, I don't believe that is how our government works.
1. uninsured get basic healthcare, would have to be proposed, pass through both sides of congress, then signed by the president. Likely dead on arrival, which can be seen by the dismanting of Obamacare.
2. repair Flint infrastructure (clean water). It was their own local governments misspending of tax payer money and switching water sources that brought their crisis.
Conclusion: Paying addition taxes than needed does not automatically send the money to worthy causes.
We are able to use emergency money and spend 8billion as an "emergency" on a wall, but the residents of flint have suffered for many years.
To be fair, Trump didn’t write the tax code. Amazon and other big corporations benefitted hugely on taxes even in the previous years too. Trump did make a lot of his typical empty promises of ending all of that. Sigh!
