Will more US jobs go to India? Or they are just coming to the US and replace US workers like what Disney did?

All these Western businesses coming to India, killing local businesses here, sucking money out of the country from 1 billion people while taking tax advantages and funneling money back to pay high western TCs while poor folks remain entangled in poverty getting a third of the salary while working overtime 3 times. Time to plead Trump to become India president and make india and whole of asia Great again with higher TCs than the entitled TC holders here.

Did you go crazy all at once or did it happen gradually? What did it feel like?

So if you move there, are you gonna stay in villages that don't have roads or access to clean water, and where people are not educated? Obviously no. You will be in tier 1 cities that has great people, good infrastructure, good companies, and all kinds of facilities.

In big cities you will face population problem on roads, public places like movie theaters, government offices, banks, restaurants etc

      Can't deny that. It's a populated country.

I think Amazon is going to move a lot of work to India to save costs. When I worked in India, I worked for 10+ countries from the India office.

  • All these big corps know whats coming ahead sooner than we all know. Once recession hits US, they are ready with offices offshore. And where will people come from to work in those offices?? Those folks will be the laidoff H1b workforce of US sent back to home

Exactly the thing happened in early 2000s. Before that these outsourcing companies used to be the dream jobs in India. Now those are shit tier ones. Good students either go out to study abroad or settle in India office. The outsourcing ones still pay around $400 a month while Amazon pays around $3-4K per month for the same level.

You don’t need a large India office for option 2. You just need it for 1. With long GC delays Amazon can easily bring in employees on L1 and H1 or even on OPT and train them and send them to work in India office. It’s good for both employees and employers.

They target Indian market. The moment amazon starts losing money they will close all remote offices.

A big part of Amazon is cross cutting. I don’t think they need 15k in India to support India business. They will shift a lot of cross cutting orgs to India.

Has anyone kept track of e-commerce in India? Last I’d heard it was hovering around 100M and static at that point.
