Is it okay to apply for a position that is above what I am currently offered? Offered a Marketing Associate role, but want to shoot for an Associate Digital Marketing manager role. For context: I got a full-time offer starting this next summer. I was an intern last summer. The newly listed position aligns extremely well with my skill set in digital advertising, but they’re looking for 3+ years of experience. For even more context: I have had the following internships, - sales - e - com - brand dev - paid search - acc exec How would you suggest reaching out?
What’s with the eye roll?
Why did you tag those three companies? It depends on the size of the company where you got the offer. In Salesforce or Oracle or similar sized company, they ask for 4+ years of experience to be Associate manager in PPC or SEO. This is from the direct experience.
That’s a good point. This is a 33B CPG company. I am asking more or less to see if I can qualify in the 3+ years of experience category.
Probably not. You don’t know what you don’t know.

Do you have any professional experience?
You tell me. Started my own painting business from age 11-17 doing $30k+ plus, host a podcast that does 10k+ downloads, currently an “intern” that oversees and optimized a monthly advertising budget of $80k. Sent you my resume that has my full list of work history.
