My background is a mixture of data science and data engineering. Analytics engineering sounds like what I’ve been doing so far, but I am wondering if I should continue in this path or try to beef up my eng skills and go for data engineering, because I’m not sure if analytics engineering is a common role at companies (what would my prospects look like if I were to look for another analytics engineer role). If anyone can shed some insight on the career path of analytics engineering, that’d be great.

Idk what this analytics engineering role is I’ve seen recently. Just looks like another term for data engineering for analytics teams.
Stick to data engineering
Why is that, can you elaborate?
