Hello, Anyone who is familiar with Annapurna Amazon Lab? I know this is acquired by AWS couple years back, but I could not find any reviews or feedback on them anywhere online. Appreciate any reviews/ feedback about this company.
Apna is where innovation happens. If you like the space, it’s the place to be.
They are doing some cool work. Not sure about the opportunities over there. Basically 2-3 years back, AWS use to run their hypervisor on the processor itself, which would take available memory and CPU. After acquiring Annapurna, they are using custom NIC with built in arm core, and these cores are used to run hypervisor. AWS is calling Nitro hypervisor It's pretty cool, but not sure what exactly are they doing now. My guess would be they are probably building new custom hardware. AWS recently announced that they want to sell their datacenter hardware to companies with on premise deployments.
OJqG17, Thank You for details :)
I remember they had a handful of compiler engineers but wasn’t able to see what they were working on. Almost all their packages are restricted. All I know is they work on low level stuff.
Yes.
