I work at a company that still has the Jack Welch GE annual focal system Exceeds/successful/below expectations. Annual and mid year reviews.

How do other companies review employees for recognition, promotion, termination?

Many find the old GE model decreases teamwork in the age of AGILE.

    Amazon does the GE model. Makes me want to stay SDE2 forever. I can exceed SDE2 expectations without much effort, why would I want to fight for my job as an SDE3?
