I’m curious about what Atlassian is like to work for. I’m currently at Microsoft and wondering about whether I should make a move.
Definitely buy their stock, not so sure about their engineering teams.
Let me be honest. Not a big fan of JIRA or confluence or bitbucket.
Worked at Atlassian before, absolutely great product and people. 0 drama, 0 BS, 100% transparency.
Do you have an offer from Atlasssian or debating whether or not to interview?
Former Atlassian here. Still think it’s a great company with a good culture, though your experience will vary depending on which product and team you’re on, and which office you end up in. My first few years were incredible for my personal and career growth, but since the IPO there’s been management restructuring and new team leads/managers brought in who seem to be interested only in their own agenda, to the detriment of the engineers they are supposed to lead.
Come chat with me about the atlassian engineering opportunities!

Not sure about their back end teams but their front end and design has improved tremendously over the past few years. Good job to them
