Specifically Z06 and Grand Sport owners. Any info about the car is much appreciated! Why you chose Z or GS? Maintenance? Would you recommend to a guy in mid 20s? TC: 210k Driving YOE: ~8 Speeding Tickets: 2 Would love to hear what fellow tech lads or ladies have to say :)
What's your current car(s)?
HAHAHA my current car omg I bought a beater bc I wasn’t ready to buy a vette before, so it’s an old Toyota rn
I would wait till it cools off a bit, that is a hot car right now just like the last redesign. You wait a bit you can pick up a used one on the cheap. They did a great job with the new body style.
Wait for C6? Why do you say that? I’m talking about 2 generation prior to this mid engine one
Sorry, i thought you were talking about the new C8. C6 is ready to buy for sure
Not a Vette owner but a quick internet search turns up a number of Z51 C7s for 34k, which I think is a much better deal than an older Z06 or grand sport.
Really? I’ve only ever driven the base C6. I love the C6 body. I love the C7, and it’s a better engineered car too. Contrary to popular opinion, I like the rear of the C7 better. I could be interested in a C7, it’s newer and will have a better interior. Wanna hear from people that have had both, C6 and 7 now!
I like the cleaner look of the C6 but the C7 is just a much much better car. You can easily beat LS7 power with a small amount of money put into the newer engine.
Why C6? C8 is so freaking sexy.
NiceGal, +1 for being into corvettes *joke* call meeeee But monies :( I don’t wanna throw 70k at a car at this age
Yea I think the C7 is a crazy bargain right now since everyone wants the C8.
You will probably get better feedback on a vette forum. I assume you know how much insurance is for these at your age and the cost of brakes and tires? Those are what prevented me from getting a fun DD when I was 21. I do prefer the Z06 though as a track rat and DD.
Yea I know the cost for tires brakes and fluids. My commute is only 5 miles
Love the C6 drove a 2013 Grand Sport (the 335 rear tires) steering is very heavy and you feel every pothole. Wheel tugs at the slightest road imperfection. It is a 2-hand driver 100% of the time. Get one out on the road and test, it’s either exactly what you’re looking for or everything you hate.
Corvettes are for rednecks
Is there anywhere in the post where I ask who corvette is for? No, now keep walking you fool
Hey, what's wrong with rednecks?
