One of my friends got a job in OCI and it was later revoked. He was livid because he’d already resigned. Luckily ended up with a job in Microsoft.
Terrible employer, waiting for an offer can take up-to 2 months. It is a legal company then a software company.
I agree
I got an offer in April the day after Oracle laid off 1000 people. They maid me wait 4.5 weeks for a review after a 'verbal' offer. I was told it would be 2 weeks and told my offer WILL GO THROUGH repeatedly the recruiter and it will definitely happen. I had 2 others offers. One was a delayed start due to a security clearance, but another one I could start the following monday. The recruiter was adament that these offers ALWAYS go through. Mine did. If I had known that some don't I would have passed. Why wouldn't I? I see below it can be 2 months wait? I was told 2 weeks. Then it got delayed? I figured it was delayed at the end since they fired people to free up money for me for now. The job is ok, but this verbal offer stuff and then wait 2 months after being ABSOLUTELY assured repeatedly you will get a formal offer ignorant if they revoke them. I followed up with her repeatedly and she told them never revoke. If I knew they did, why would I risk it?

Goog Employees Arrested
No idea about UK but in the US, some offers were given before a recent layoff that shut down some teams that gave the offers. I don't know the % who were taken by a different team but other teams that were still growing were very eager to grab them up, and a bunch of new hires I met were such cases who were originally given offers by a deprecated team.
