Interested in knowing if there is any company out there which doesn't need the FANG type of leetcode interview skills but still pay at that level for a person who can do the actual work better? I am 15 yrs experienced senior level hands on engineer who can definitely get stuff done really well. I am at a 400K TC currently and am looking for SF Bay Area companies where I don't have to spend 6 months preparing leetcode problems for the interview and still get to the IC6 kind of pay at Google/FB. Ask me more practical problems you are trying to solve and I can design a solution for that. Also wondering if there are any out there where they would give a more real world scenario type weekend project to do and evaluate your skills that way. Not sure if these FANG type companies know but 6 months of prep will easily get you to crack these cookie cutter type of leetcode interviews. It is not about the prep but I don't want to end up in a team where everyone can solve all 700+ problems of leetcode on the whiteboard but cannot solve actual problems for the company. Not sure if anyone else feels the same and is in a similar situation like me. I hope there are options that the Blind community can help with.
Autodesk
Twitter and Netflix
+1 for Autodesk for WLB although TC may be difficult to go over.
Zume
zume TC is not good. OP is already at tc400 and I doubt he's willing to sacrifice a lot.
Don't we all want that high paying job without any actual coding interviews đđ
Prostitution
That's one expensive hooker
Some Netflix positions may not have leetcode
I get your point but itâs kind of naive and rude to say â... fang people who can solve 700+ leetcode problems but canât solve actual problems for the companyâ You do realise the extent to which Amazon, Google, Microsoft have technically penetrated in your life right? Iâd bet and say much more than wherever you currently are. They ask leetcode questions to test for technical aptitude. They also ask design questions to see real world skills. They check your code for speed and maintainability. They also test culture fit (and with that attitude of yours I doubt youâd pass it) You might be a strong engineer and you might be unwilling to get your feet wet with algorithms and data structures, but that doesnât mean people who do it are inferior engineers. Donât be rude.
I dig the last para.
100% agreed. Don't be too proud, everything is there for a reason.
You sound like you belong at Netflix
Yes except that with the rate of firings at Netflix, he will lose that job too
I think you might have been misled. Most places actually aren't LC questions.
really? i had a bunch of tech screens with YC companies and they all used LC questions
