Interviewing for SWE. Apart from the obvious history of the company I could find online (mergers/acquisitions/rebranding/strategy pivoting).. Can someone tell me how the work culture is? Does the TC measure up with Chicago salaries? Potential for learning and growth with the company? YOE: 4 Years
Individual people at HERE are generally great. Tech stack for OLP is pretty modern. The company unfortunately is buried in completely broken, massively excess processes, severe siloing, empire building, and not-invented-here syndrome. Very hard to get anything done efficiently. Comp can be pretty good.
What kinda comp for 4 years of experience?
The best wlb you will probably see in any company! Comp is not great , but I'm from the west coast. Expect half of what you can possibly get from a FAANG offer.
What does the onsite interview process look like?
Not sure about OLP specifically, and generally depends on the team, but pretty straightforward and easy in general. If this is a Java/ Scala position, make sure you learn Jvm and Java in-depth. You can expect very light coding type questions!
Light coding would mean Leetcode Easy?
LC easy/moderate. OLP is not too hard. Autonomous driving interviews are significantly harder.
Really depends on where you are in the company. It can be really good, or really bad. Which department are you interviewing with?
Open Location Platform. Can you elaborate ?
