Hello everyone, A Microsoft recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn about a hiring event for the azure data team. Can anyone provide some information about the team and their culture? I have been at my current role for 7 years and I am exploring new opportunities and wanted to do my due diligence before getting back to the recruiter. Thank you for your time.
What does this team work on?
SQL, Azure DB, postgres, cosmosDB, Hadoop, spark, Kafka, nosql, Cosmos, Stream analytics etc
I am on one of the core data teams (under azure). I love it.
If you don't mind me asking, what was your background before you started working on the azure data team? How quickly were you able to pick up the required skills and start contributing to the team.
I heard WLB is bad. How's on call pressure?

Hey thank you for your response. As far as the interview process goes my recruiter said they test for core cs fundamentals. Would you say the bar is on par with other roles with Microsoft?
It varies across orgs but the bar is generally on par.
