Any luck pushing new job start date to 2 months away?

Hi guys. I am expecting an offer (this time from a very good company and i plan to accept it). I was hoping to set my start date to Mid February. Anyone with any luck negotiating that far? My coworkers left but they started rightaway as new company said we need someone asap. They had no visa issue and I also don't need any visa. I am sure this new manager will push too since they are agressive in their products. I would appreciate how to push start date to 2 months from accepting the offer. I will lose my sabbatical so i was hoping to take break. Thank you for sharing your experience or feedback.

Nobody seems to be happy at Intel

Well, people at Principal Eng or other grade 10 manager level or above maybe, since they get liveable wages in the Bay Area along with some degree of WLB.

Case by case. Ask and explain your situation. How long is the sabatical? Sometimes if the company really wants you they'll even offer additional sign on bonus to buy that time if possible. They're are many cases when people to extend months out.

Nope, sabbatical can be cashed out in other locations in US as well if you are eligible on your last day of work.
