Interviewing with this IoT company and wanted to see if anyone here works there and can provide any cultural info on the company. Any red flags I should be aware of? Would love to talk to you anonymously if possible
Don’t they have VC?
You should consider companies like these if you have nothing to lose and not worried about job security, immigration concerns, etc. and be ready to roll over with ups and downs in the company (and with the domain, IoT in this case), you cannot just rely on founders with a track record or strong VC funding.
From what I’ve seen, they have awesome Glassdoor reviews. I believe they’re backed by Andreessen Horowitz, so it’s nice to know a firm of their caliber has confidence in the success of the company.

Kind of late to this, but I'm on the sales team—let me know if you have any questions 👍🏼
The biggest risk factor with them is lack of focus and hardware related scaling issues. They cover way too many use cases today to sell effectively as a startup.
But what about their Meraki exp?
If you look at the list of people who have multiple successes especially in different verticals - it’s very small and they are basically Elon musk level icons. This team is not that and it is concerning that they just brought the whole exec team over as a group.
Anyone working @ Samsara be willing to refer me for a PM role!?
Avoid, too much politics rooted from old Cisco / meraki days

Shopify employees : Are you good?? They're pitting you against each other? wtf
The founders are from Meraki which Cisco bought. I’ve heard that the founders are willing to fund the company with their own money if the money they raised runs out, so... something to note, I guess.
Yup heard that as well. Looks like it’s got some strong leadership for sure. Overall seems like a nice company. Just wanted to hear from some insiders
