I’m considering buying a home there. Dublin seems nice and some homes sold during the last several months seem to have appreciated quite a bit. I know commute to Bay Area is bad, but not a problem for me. Looking to hear thoughts about: - investment - community - is this a good place to raise a family?
Dublin in Ireland might be a good investment, as things look more companies are moving/expanding there due to the Brexit drama.
Was about to post this. You Californians think your overhyped state is the whole world.
Dublin is pretty congested. 580 is always a beotch, but if you can get up into the Tassajara area, there are nice parks and it’s a *bit* more open. The plethora of multi-family north of 580 along Dublin Blvd (Dublin Ranch) is nuts. Everyone is living on top of each other there. Bad value for $800K+ homes.
I live close to Jordan ranch. Like Dublin but over crowded now. Cottonwood school would be walking distance but DUSD is a mess. Commute is 1hr in morning and 1.5hrs in evening except Friday where it can stretch to 2hrs if you leave around 4pm. If you are ok with heavily infested population of Asians and Indians then you will feel at home in East Dublin(or: Close to Jordan ranch or even in that place)
Meh. Infrastructure is overstretched( temp shelters for schools, traffic), the water is horrible and the commute to South Bay is horrendous. Dublin was a good choice a few years ago, not now.
