    Yeah.

Then I stopped drinking sodas during the day and beers during the evening and after that breathing didn't cause me to gain weight anymore.

At my age (44), you listen closely to your body. Watch what you eat, stay very hydrated and *hit the gym* hard.

The sensation of muscles on fire is your friend.

I’m 10lbs heavier than my high school graduation weight. But that was almost 28 years ago.

Oh. And use sunscreen. Always. Like a mofo

You’ve won a relatively healthier life.

I eat 1300 kcals, exercise intensely for an hour or more everyday with cardio and lifting, cut refined carbs and sugar, and still gain weight. Idk what else I can do.

I log everyday. I actually eat 200-300 kcals less than my 1300 goal a day.

You’re metabolic miracle if you’re gaining weight on 1000 calories a day.

My BMR is 1800+ calories. At that intake I’d shrivel up into nothingness.

At 1300 Cal you can’t exercise. What’s your breakfast like? Let’s do a calorie count.

Your body has dropped your metabolism to adjust for fewer calories. You are not eating enough. Generally, people who eat this little are recommended for a check in with an eating disorder therapist. Man or woman dies not matter.

I was also told that since I take birth control I have to fight against the weight gain. My breakfasts average from 200-270 kcals, rationing different types of breakfast, from oatmeal, pancakes (calculate the syrup too), a banana and some granola, or other things. I try to incorporate protein through the day, like eggs, tofu, fish and chicken. I do feel good off my diet and not hungry, though. I cook at home. Not sure what else I can do

A banana has 110-120 kcal. That leaves 150 kcal for pancakes. That’s about a small pancake without sugar or syrup. If you add a bit of sugar and maple syrup, that easily puts you over 400 kcal.

And we’re not even talking about granolas, or other things.

Also, the fact that you don’t feel hungry is telling. Hunger is usually the sign that there is a calorie deficit. Your body hates that.

I don’t eat banana with pancakes. I eat banana by itself only.

@TerryPerry you also don't feel hungry once you have been lowering your calories for long enough.

@owo, @arfington definitely possible. Over the years I’ve kind of learned by trial and error what works for me and what doesn’t.

Any type of high energy food, besides being difficult to estimate, makes me hungry in no time, regardless of how much energy it has. So I stick to relatively basic foods - eggs, meat, yogurts (unsweetened of course), cheese, veggies, some bread here and there.

Also, I’m a weakling when it comes to candy and stuff like that. I asked my wife to either not buy it, or hide it from me. I usually pig out over the Halloween.

Keep track of what you eat for a couple of weeks. You’d be surprised. Also, 2000 Cal/day is about maintenance intake for an office worker, give or take.

Probably may even be surplus for an average height person.

2000 is way above maintenance level for most of females.

35 yo here. I gain weight if I'm not on diet and eat "normally"

I’m a big dude, and it’s very difficult for me to lose weight unless I count every calorie I eat. Likewise if I don’t watch my diet I absolutely blow up. This leads me to either get extremely fucking fat or put on muscle like there’s no tomorrow. Or a bit of both I guess.

It’s a struggle for me to gain weight. 3000 cals a day and still gaining just 2 pounds a month.

🙄 I am envious. I am at 2000 calories a day, workout thrice a week, drink lemon water in the morning, and am still overweight, not losing anything.

Don’t be envious. The grass is always green on the other side. I wish to not spend so much on food and just gain weight like OP.

Lol I see your point. But you can eat all the chole bhature guilt free, it's a thing to be envious about.

Just exercise and eat whatever you want. I installed Runtastic Results app, it is not free, but I managed to get rid of the belly and hoping to get sixpack. Already have 2 pack.
