They seem to have a decent product. Wondering how's the culture like ??? IPO or buyout prospects ??
Should I switch to them ??
They are valued at > $1 billion now and probably in series D funding. If you can afford the risk, I will say go ahead.
I know the team.. Would bet on them heavily even my life savings if they let me. I dont work there.. But I am fairly confident they will succeed..
Succeed to where? I too know the ex sql Server clowns there, Redshift can kill them if they like
They will get acquired... Either by AWS or by MS... Seriously we have been fucking around throwing stuff at the wall since Ted while still benifitting from the licensing changes he made..
Sameet who ?
The founders are all ex Oracle
BobMu isn't.. He was President of STB at MS
The only hesitation I have is that they are competing with industry heavyweights like Amazon Google and Microsoft. These three can easily rearchitect their Data warehouse offering and kill off competition from smaller companies like Snowflake Computing.
I have used snowflake and it’s an amazing product. Way better than teradata and exadata. It is blazing fast.
According to FutureEngine's list - https://www.futureengine.org/ - they're growing like bananas. They've almost doubled in the last year to 500 employees, with good glassdoor ratings (4.5/5.0). I'd strongly consider joining them. Post-Series E is pretty de-risked, especially for a B2B SaaS. Worst case, someone acquires them for a reasonable multiple of revenue.
Thanks for the tip!
We use it. Pretty nice solution.
Hmm I see
What company are you at ??
