Hi guys,

I have a cool idea for a startup in India involving scooters rather than cars. Considering the traffic situation in India, this can be a big hit.

Let me know if someone is interested in working on it.

In cities like Bangalore, people sometimes have to wait 2 hours for an uber ride. Don’t you think someone will book a ride which comes faster ?

Will you get on a 2 wheeler with a stranger on a road with potholes?

@Uber you are talking as if you built Uber and know Dara personally. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Just let me know how many ideas you came up with in your lifetime?

@UMbR31 - you can get in a car with a stranger and also, do cars run on a different road without potholes?
Also, if you have ever ridden a scooter, it is much easier to save yourselves from the potholes

I feel there's a lot more physical contact involved here. And I probably don't want to go in a 2 wheeler with someone like my taxi driver.

so you live in Bay Area and want to build Uber for India, but don't know nothing of the local market or the existing alternatives. correct?

Gojek already has plans to launch in India by November btw. Hiring in Bangalore in huge numbers. Also, it's illegal in India to use non commercial vehicles as transport. Ola and Uber both tried to do it for a few months and were shut down by the government immediately.

Yulu, Xoom, Zap, so so many. You can hire electric scooters for less than 1 INR per minute with no commitments.
