I am currently quite happy where I am, super comfy atmosphere and nice products, paid trainings and nice office and WLB. But I am worried I am getting too comfortable, or rather I just wanna try some job hunting to see how it will go for me. I don't really want a new job but want to see how skilled the market would think I am. Should I just do it and see where it leads or should I just stop hanging around at Blind to stop getting tempted? Anyone else feel the same? YOE: 10 TC: 64k in Berlin
Defo. Especially when interviews are going your way and get multiple offers
64k in Europe. You need to find a job with higher TC
why so? My rent is like 600 for a 2 room apartment in Neukölln, I can walk to work and lunch is 5-8 euros around here I could get higher if I wanted, up to 80 maybe but like I said it's more the challenge of job hunt that seems interesting right now to see if it is as easy or hard people say
64K in Europe is pretty standard for 10 yoe
Booking can easily pay 90k+ for less YOE
I am not saying that is top salary - just common enough. London, Amsterdam, Berlin I believe would pay more, FAANG might pay more in more locations as well but otherwise that is normal... Btw preved medved ;)
maybe an unpopular opinion but i hate looking for new jobs bc i find it stressful and i find myself comfortable where i am
Are you ready to retire in the same company?
i would be down but im unsure if the company would still be around by the time i retire so eventually ill probably need to move on. i do enjoy the work that i do but honestly i enjoy my free time and being in the leisurely company of family and friends far more. my company now provides great work life balance and tbh im just working to live not necessarily to feel fulfilled at work or to grow in my career, etc.
Start the hunt and you will figure
I enjoy the job hunt. It's stressful but I feel accomplished when I come out successfully. I basically never stop the job hunt. Even when I begin a new job, I'll keep fielding calls from recruiters and companies. It's been great for me so far.
How old are you?
The dude works for Amazon. Of course there is a feeling of jumping ship
I’m in the same boat. Enjoy the idea of switching but I have so many requirements (location, specific company type, etc.) that jumping ship never seems to make sense. All the awesome opps come with some sacrifice and I don’t want to sacrifice anything.
