How are their interviews? Same as at most other companies or is there anything different/unique about theirs? Also, for anyone who received an offer from or works for Grab, how is compensation for SWEs? Higher/lower/on par with Amazon, Microsoft, Google?
How attractive?
The compensation is good, however, there is an option part that's not immediately liquidable. If you believe in the direction and future, then it's really good opportunity. Also the benefits part is good.
I have interviewed with grab in seattle very very bad experience... total hours of interview 8.5 hours! And they were practically giving me verbal offer at the end. But they stopped responding the moment i gave them my current salary numbers!
Comp is very competitive
Do you have PM roles?
Wow, really? “they turned out to be very cheap even with their paper money.” Are you saying they made an offer? Can you give specific figures?
Steve Yegge joined them. Legendary programmer of Amazon and Google fame.

I left Grab for Facebook. The interviews there are mostly similar to FB and Google. Compensation is pretty attractive there. Most of the engineers in their Seattle office come from Amazon and Microsoft.
Why you decided to leave Grab? People issue? Or the company is going down
People issue. Management was shitty. This happened before they had a new CTO and Steve Yegge though. Might be better now
