I don’t live in Miami, but... Love me some South Beach. Awesome place. Though, the constant flooding and land erosion of coastal FL is why I decided against buying there. Because I choose to believe in climate change.

No state income tax is nice.

It’s high COL, but no income tax. Lots to to, but generally overcrowded. Beautiful if you like the water and also plenty of beautiful people around. You’ll want to know Spanish if you move there though

I hear people like it better than nyc and sf

Also keep your miserable liberal politics on the west coast. Welcome everyone else!

🤦‍♂️ NYC & all of New England says hello

Microsoft FBisEvil Feb 16, 2019

Lol, they also need to stop migrating down here. Please stay put. NYC needs you for their pension plans

what tech companies are there? besides chewy

Microsoft FBisEvil Feb 17, 2019

Microsoft has a ft lauderdale off ice which isn’t too far away. Not sure what groups work out of there though. Lots of cruise and travel companies too

Love Miami. No state tax. Miami Beach is amazing. Such a relaxed feel. People typically tend to start their days around 10AM it seems.

Do you live there now?

Love Miami. Nothing better than working from home at a pool party. That said, not a place to buy property or lack a strong evacuation plan.

Google has an office there?

Why not to buy property?

I live down here. Fort Lauderdale to be specific which I would reformed ovwr Miami. I think it’s great. Some background i am 25 year old from NYC work in DevOps. I moved here last fall. Pros: lot of hot women, great food, no snow, top tier night life, always something to do, cheaper than most other major cities, very happening place. Cons: traffic sucks, drivers are crazy, salaries in tech are relatively low, tech scene isn’t that great, people here are very flaky, lot of scammers (already got me twice), if in Miami knowing even just a little Spanish is essential.
