Anyone moved from bay area to Australia ?
I am in an early stage of inteview, but hr partner would like to come up with some ballpark number. He gave a hint of 150-160k base + Superannuation. This position is for Sydney, but planning to commute from suburbs due to crazy apt rent. Any idea on how is cost of living and this salary range will be fit in if i stay in suburbs and commute to office ?

Its average Sydney salary. Cost of living is Sydney is similar to Bay Area
Agreed, but I will not stay in Sydney. It seems Healthcare and education is free and better than US
Agreed. Medical is very expensive in US. So extra tax is basically a trade-off between free healthcare vs higher tax ..
