Have this situation and hence some questions regarding dos and donts. My wife is in a tier 2 govt college in India studying final year. So she'll start job search with 0 work ex. Does that make it very hard in US?
I think the right question to ask is will there be H4 Ead when you wife comes here. Mostly it will be removed by then. (Google H4 ead for latest news if you are not following what is happening). Even if the H4Ead remains as is when she comes here, it will be relatively more difficult than others with prior experience. Main reason is for someone without experience the top companies prefer US college hires. Not impossible but harder for good jobs. If it is any job, then she can get one and then try for good ones later
Plan is to just start on H4 EAd and do job search for 3-4 months. If she gets a job but EAd is removed, we can always start MSCS program right after.
so basically I am trying to analyse whether we should straightway go for Masters (before even coming to US) or give EAD a chance
You can directly bring her. As per latest guidelines college degree is no longer needed for swe roles
My wife got 4 offers within 2 weeks of interviews.
When? Right now, isn’t it difficult with the chaos?
Some unsolicited advice since I saw another post from you on transferring via L1: The first 1-2 years of married life should be relaxed and used to build a bond between you two. I was also like you, ruthlessly solving for wife getting to work immediately, doing Masters, H4EAD, interviews before H1 lottery, TC etc. Take these things slow, and use your full mental horsepower to think where you'll take her for vacations, getting a beautiful house, how to pamper her in Seattle etc. Your pay being above 150k is comfortable for two people, focus on building a lifelong bond with her as soon as she gets to the US. Cement your marriage first.
Why are you assuming he doesn’t know her since forever?
Is this an arranged marriage? Why should she leave everything in India for you? It's always better to marry someone that's living in the same country.
Btw she is still in final year? That’s a bit too young 😳
Child marriage still happening in India ?

Oh boy. No time to enjoy life?
Get a job and then enjoy better
