Hello folks, I accepted an offer from Google MTV and am looking for some apartments close to Google MTV. Do you guys have any recommendation? Thanks! My basic requirements: 0. safe and clean 1. 2-bed, 2-bath, in-unit washer/drier, larger than 1000 sqf 2. within 30 minutes drive during busy hours 3. budget: $2800 - $4000. prefer cheaper one to save money
I love in West San Jose and it's only like 35 mins at 7 am and 40-45 at 8. I suggest rent an air bnb for a bit and try the neighborhood before you actually sign a lease.
West SJ and North SJ have a connecting freeway that’s mostly a parking lot during rush hour. Traffic doesn’t die until after 8pm. Any further than this you’re screwed.
@usernmae, I don't know if this is normal or not, but it took me under 40 mins this morning, and about 45 this evening. Both pretty close to rush hour (left at 830am, returned at 545 pm). I was at work within an hour of waking and I showered this morning :) Are other times of the year busier than now traffic wise?
would recommend Sunnyvale downtown. Many newer apartments. Only 10 mins to MTV campus if no traffic.
Will seriously consider SunnyVale. Sorry I am new to bay area. I search SunnyVale downtown and find it is a large area. Do you have any specific zip codes or apartments to recommend? Thanks.
Sunnyvale downtown is very small. Just look around Murphy ave. Would recommend checking along GBus routes
+1 for Sunnyvale. The location now is such a central hub to everything in the peninsula and South Bay. Beware the housing market there is also very hot.
Will seriously consider SunnyVale. It seems to be a center location. Do you have any specific zip codes or apartments to recommend in SunnyVale? Thanks.
Getting out of google campus is 30 mins during rush hour. Expect an hr if you don’t live in Mountain View.
are you serious? Then how about 30 min drive, not in peak rush hours?
I live in north San Jose and take the first google bus out in the morning at 7am and it takes me 30mins. Evening around 50mins on the bus.
