Focus on Java language fundamentals and be crystal clear in your thinking. Know reflection, serialization, concurrency, etc. like the back of your hand and you would be good to go.

Don’t work for appdynamics, it has the worst engineering mgmt team, unless u enjoy dealing with political bullshit.
