I had an interview for Apple Validation role. Some questions I was asked were as follows: 1. I was shown a board of one of the released product and asked to identify what product was it? Hint: the dimensions of the product 2. Identify the capacitor, inductors on the board. Identify the IC’s for battery charging, PMIC, SoC etc. Hint: placement of the components and looking at external components around the IC. 3. Explain how to debug i2c and SPI interface. Differences. What equipment would you use 4. How do you select oscilloscope probes? How do you select oscilloscope for the project? 5. How do you calculate CMRR? What does 60 dB performance means? 6. How do you measure PSRR? Draw the circuit 7. Provide an example of Power and signal integrity. How did you go by solving an issue. 8. What is setup and hold time?
