Apple Apps team SWE onsite coming up.
I heard that questions asked are real world problems with some algorithmic tweaks to it, can confirm that even my phone screens were of the same type (not LC based). Any tips on how to prepare for these kinds of questions?

Ive heard apple interview are more interesting and domain specific. Not run off the mill Leet code. I prefer that actually.

Which org/team? At Apple, interviews are domain centric and each team has its own interviewing standards.
