I have got a weird email from apple recruiter that I will have to complete a 6 hours coding exercise. So at whatever time they sent the exercise, I will have to return within 6 hours Has anyone experienced this?
well if you do a remote equivalent of an on-site that might be different
True that.
Yes I got that. Don’t remember the exact thing but it involved writing a program to walk a directory structure. Focus was data structure, algorithm approach and writing test cases. It wasn’t that hard tbh.
Be careful. They may be trying to get free code from you. Basically working for them for free. SpaceX is doing a similar thing. They make candidates write code and then you never hear back from them. Or they come up with some BS bug in your code and cancel the on-site interview. I don’t mind writing snippets of code on the whiteboard. But an entire app or project, that’s a different story.
I experienced this a couple years ago, but it was only 1 hr 😳
no, but lots of companies do takehome projects so its not that weird
Will they conduct on-site interview as well after this?
I would be rather shocked if any company skipped onsite interviews
