3 years of experience + MS Base: 155k RSU: 150k/4 years Signing: 35k Location: Cupertino Org: Core OS Does this seem like a decent offer? I'm tempted to ask for higher RSUs
My Apple recruiter low balled me with an offer lower than this for ict4 with 9 yoe
if this is initial offer you should ask for more signing bonus at least if you have competing offers they'll go higher on stock
This is the second offer. Their first was lower than a competing offer, and I told them as much, and they came back with this, essentially matching the RSUs. Problem is, the other company offered me X number of shares which *today* are worth $150k, and most likely will be worth more by the time Apple's start vesting. Think this is a decent argument to ask for more Apple RSUs?
Ugh no. Why do people in tech not get this. If your stock goes higher, that isn’t comp to you. That is simply an investment return. If it went down would you have paid back Apple? How do you even have any probabilistic sense that the other company’s stock would go up. Seriously engineers are so bad at this I’m always amazed.
Org? I heard apple gives less initial grant but has better refreshers
Also, location?
