Apple employees, after seeing google duplex what do you think about your Siri team?

Why is it still so shit? Or do you accept the defeat that Google is just straight up better at AI and ML than you?

Alphabet has had cars on the road for a long time. Also clearly different scenarios. Car on the road is much more conservative

There’s a lot of cool things you can do when you’re mining the entire worlds personal data and using it to fuel your voice assistant. When you aren’t, the result is Siri. I still think Siri is trash though but from a privacy standpoint, I prefer Siri

Do You think the demo was fake? Like why did the supposed hairdresser assume it was a “she” for the client? I guess it is a 50% chance anyway, but I do know that there is hype and there is reality. Someday that level of AI will be there, but perhaps also this was 2 good demos out of 100 bad conversations

No Live Demo for such an amazing feature? That shows how confident google is. Just like any other google product. They show that they have great technology but when it comes to execution and product to market strategy it always sucks and it ends up closing the project.
Yes, unlike Apple which makes everything perfect, like Siri, Maps.
Siri had a lead in this before any other player and look where it is now. Apple is primarily a hardware company. It shouldn’t pretend to do AI. Some heads must roll especially bill stasior who is the VP of Siri. (I didn’t say Microsoft is any better so think before bashing me :-))
