Apple offer for Seattle IC3

Talking with an AI Apple recruiter who mentions that sign on bonuses aren't common. I tried asking for one but he said that the base and stock are already really high. And asking for one will risk a vp rejection. I guess at this stage he takes the numbers he provided me and sends them up the chain to the vp to get approved. He makes it sound like there's no further negotiation after this step. He mentioned that if I went too high the vp will reject the offer. I feel okay with this offer so far but I want to make sure I'm not being shafted since I don't have any competing offers. base: 150 stock: 130/4 sign bonus: 0 yoe: 5 current base 133 stock 27/5yr level 61 Is this a good offer? I keep hearing I'm at the top of the band and was almost a "senior" (why don't they tell you what level you are ...). Are these numbers good for where I'm at? Levels.fyi doesn't have enough data comparable to mine to make an informed decision.

Very good.

It's an okay offer, but the root of your problem is the lack of competing offers. That gives you very little leverage and Apple knows this so they don't have an incentive to budge on the numbers. For now if you like the new job (money aside) better than the current one, take it. Keep this lesson for next time you're in the job market.

Yea I had an onsite with Google which was looking promising. After a bunch of run around for a rejection. So I never mentioned it to Apple. Thanks for the feedback!

Stock is probably hitting max they can offer for ICT3. Base isn't top of band but is very high for someone not already in the company. I haven't seen a base that high for an IC3 offer before. It's really solid, but they're skimping you on hire-on bonus. They'll move on that if you have other offers. Whether that's worth it is up to you.

It’s not as top of the band as you might be told, but it’s not a bad offer for Seattle
