Last month, I had an on-site at Apple for a SWE role in AMP team. It went great. Next day, I got an email from the recruiter stating that the feedback was really positive and should receive the final decision soon. After two weeks, I was told that team has chosen me for the role. However, the hiring manager hasn't given permission to move to the next step i.e., asking for my compensation expectations. It's been a month now. Is it normal at Apple? Should I move on?
Hiring freeze going on right now, almost all the new job reqs are on hold. It's not you. As soon as things loosen up they will probably grab you.
Do you know how long could the hiring freeze be?
