Been reading this over in blind and experienced the same myself. Interviewed onsite with 2 apple teams - one on 7th Nov, another 13th Nov. Emailed them both yesterday (after their shutdown) and received replies from neither !! Is it safe to assume that they are *not* moving forward with me ?? I have an offer deadline on Thursday.. not sure what to do, maybe will email back again tomorrow evening(??). We spend hours preparing and spend a grueling day interviewing and recruiters don't even bother sending a template rejection.. Gee, thanks Apple !
Not necessarily you are rejected. You have higher chances of not being rejected if you have waited long. Hold on!
Yes you failed
No, Apple is notoriously slow on the hiring process.
I got ghosted by Google after onsite
Unheard of ! But I guess does happen...
I felt I was ghosted by MSFT, turned out they were super slow.
I recently had interviews with 3 different teams at Apple. One didn't go well and I received a rejection from that specific team after 2 days. Most companies don't even bother to send you a rejection, unless that's the case, longer wait times should be viewed as a positive signal.
It blows my mind how many people go through a “day of grueling interviews” and don’t manage to get a straight answer on what will be the next steps and by when you can expect to hear back...and then get all anxious and post unanswerable questions on Blind.
Well blind is our Aunty agony
It take time. They are still in vacation mode.
You will get response from both soon.
This is standard practice with recruiters. Yet when candidates do the same to them, they go ape shit.
I interviewed with many companies this time around. The worst response time was Apple. I had a much better experience with other recruiters..
This is an extremely greedy generalization of recruiters.
