which one to choose, if offered same tc? apple or fb? current tc: 140 offered: 215 yoe 4 role: engg thanks!
Do you get RSU at juniper?
Yes, but quite less compared to apple, fb
When you include the perks at fb your tc will go up slightly. Just fyi. Also how are you getting 215 with 4 yoe. Might be getting lowballed.
Thanks! Because 2 yoe in US rest in India in some service based company
Ok makes sense then. I was in the same situation as you and decided fb cause better reputation, easier to move between teams if you get bored at your current team (this has known to be difficult at Apple). Fast growth if you’re willing to put in the extra hours and not whine about wlb.
What perks do you have
This is easy...Apple, DO NOT CHOOSE FB FOR THE LOVE OF GOD
Strong no for fb? Any particular reason?
Depends what you want and also highly team dependent. Apple pros - great refreshers - good wlb (again team specific but general company culture gravitates towards this) FB pros: - Faster growth - Better perks (free food, free gym and lots of other free stuff)
Apple generally pays more as well, I was making 108 base as an intern, but 22k per month with overtime.
That's only for an internship. Apple is more of a hardware company than a software company. Most peers I know use Apple as a stepping stone to Facebook or Google
Thanks SAP, MS, 22k is a lot for intern! 😳
Apple. Why would anyone want to work at FB other than for top TC? Genuinely curious.
High tc can be a standalone reason for people in some situations.
Perks/ benefits, complexity of problems, talent of coworkers from the high interview bar, team flexibility, brand on resume., etc etc. There's a reason why it places higher than google or tops on some employer ranking surveys.
No free food no deal
Lmao this is so based
