So after 8 years running a small startup in enterprise software, my role (and identity) as Cofounder and CEO has come to an end via acquisition. I’m not looking to stay on past the anniversary of the acquisition (August), I’d rather move to something new. Currently thinking a PM role at a FAANG as a place to start looking. So I now have the task of revamping my public image, writing my personal story, and applying for jobs via a CV. Does anyone here know of any great resources or perhaps even a freelancer who can help with CV and personal branding? 35yo / Bay Area / TC 240
OP, I don't think you need to go overboard with personal branding and story. Just update your LinkedIn and CV. Let your story come from the horse's mouth (hint: yours). Get couple of referrals, get into the groove and you should be good.
Legend, thank you. Start simple :) and start.
Sorry to break it to you, but salaried employees hate startup people. Since you don't have years of experience at a big name firm, you'd be lucky to get any job at FAANG.
Why the hate?
Sarcasm OP. Sarcasm.
