Applying to Two Sigma

Im currently a tech analysts at Deloitte. For the past year I've functioned as a junior data scientist, before that i was an assistant researcher at the Berkeley national lab doing computational cosmology and before that I studied math and physics in undergrad. I am applying to Two Sigma as a Quantitative Researcher and am wondering if there is anyone out there who could give me tips, or straight up refer me? Thanks !

Seems unlikely you’ll get a research position from your current experience. From your post I’m guessing you have a masters in something computational?

No just an undergrad degree. The posting I applied for didn't call for more than a bachelor's. I think quantitative researcher is roughly equivalent to data analyst / scientist.

I think it’s really math-heavy and requires more or less a PhD in statistics or math or a related field. Definitely not at the same level as DS in my opinion.

Target Goldman Sachs or similar banks. The pay would be at least 2x of your current TC. And also you can boost your profile for next up move
