Im currently a tech analysts at Deloitte. For the past year I've functioned as a junior data scientist, before that i was an assistant researcher at the Berkeley national lab doing computational cosmology and before that I studied math and physics in undergrad. I am applying to Two Sigma as a Quantitative Researcher and am wondering if there is anyone out there who could give me tips, or straight up refer me? Thanks !
Seems unlikely you’ll get a research position from your current experience. From your post I’m guessing you have a masters in something computational?
No just an undergrad degree. The posting I applied for didn't call for more than a bachelor's. I think quantitative researcher is roughly equivalent to data analyst / scientist.
With just Bachelors from a non-target school, it’s going to be very difficult to get in with your work experience
“tech analyst” unlikely
I don't like that you type the actual Greek letter instead of saying Sigma Edit: it used to say 2σ lol
