Are comp numbers here biased?
I suspect people here don’t represent an unbiased sampling. For instance, how many superstars will have time to hang out and post their numbers here?

It's very accurate. People who say it's biased are those who live in denial.
Yea, what I’ve seen here matches my experiences pretty well. I do think it’s biased a bit lower than average, though.

I think its more about how people interpret TC. Some consider only base, some with minimum bonus, some with max bonus, some without equity, some with equity they got not considering vesting period, etc... On top of that you have role and office location (continent/Country /city). This creates inconsistent data more than bias IMO.
There's also the fact that equity goes up in value and people count that towards their TC

Idk, the Apple numbers I’ve seen posted all perfectly match my experience or are slightly lower. Especially on the Apple board, they seem completely accurate. Google seems to have comparable numbers to Apple, maybe a little bit higher. Facebook and Netflix a bit higher. Amazon and Microsoft a fair bit lower. Which are all in line with what I expect. The only ones who post really surprising numbers are LinkedIn. I’ve seen several people claiming TC of 550k+, in threads where Google and Facebook were only reporting $350-450k.
I think it’s mostly Inflated but when somebody is asking feedback to compare offers then there is no gain for them to inflate the numbers so I tend to trust these.
