TC 180k 12 yoe What is the ceiling for respect given to a contractor? I see some contractors being treated like dirt.
Some people think that Plessy Ferguson overturned seperate but equal, but they clearly haven't seen the disparity between FTE and Contractor.
Lmao
Can you give examples of 'treated like dirt'?
Get yelled at for attempting to speak.
Gosh. Now that's something.
Contractors are a second class citizens in any company.
Not at mine
I'm working at customer's office and I do not have enough access to required IT resources even to do my job 😆😆
Which office???
I feel you buddy😅😅
Contractors are shit. They all should be fired asap
Speaking as a contractor (through a consultancy), Depends on the company, both who we work for and who we are contracting with. Ceiling can be high especially when we have saved difficult projects, but some have got burned and dislike all contractors.
Contractors get treated like crap. Consultants get some level of respect for their skills. That's why recruiters try to spin open ended body shop contractor jobs as true defined scope project consulting.
Contractors should not be treated poorly, but they must be treated differently otherwise you run into dual employment law issues.
Can you elaborate on this
More like Termites ? Build crappy codebase day by day so one day the code needs to be rewritten?
