TL;DR: 7 cases with USCIS are stuck for a long time. My AP is about to expire, so is my work visa (weeks apart). Filled extension papers the soonest I could, January, and nothing happened ever since. BAL is avoiding helping my case giving me irrelevant information, and when they finally found time to meet me they said: - get ready to lose your AP, - USCIS AP processing timeline is 8 months, despite their regulation that we can't apply sooner than 6 months in advance I wanted to ask here if anyone recently applied for advance parole and has any input on that matter. Even simplest cases taking "up to 4 months" according to USCIS website are dragging for way over a year now. If that is true, how do you handle AP extensions?
I had an AP request and H1B extension drag for more than a year. I don't know how long they would've dragged because I got my GC already (7 years since filing, eb2, "rest of the world" region).
Why did it take 7 years to get GC?? What caused the delay?
Why is your underlying case stuck? I got my GC only a couple months after AP. Since AP takes six months and yours is expiring you're likely 1.5yr since filing i485? What's causing such a huge delay on i485?
I asked BAL multiple times for an inquiry. We're not coming from any of the countries that are throttled, yet everything is blocked. BAL pretty much delayed answering until eventually they said "why don't you call USCIS yourself?" No clue what's causing delays but I'm worried about what BAL said about EAD/AP extensions. I can extend L1 only once, what next?
Applied in January, still showing as “Case received”. Zero updates after that.

What's AP? Can you work on AP?
It's for traveling
Isn't it that with AP and EAD you no longer are bound to employer if you were previously on L1 Visa? Isn't that also how you extend your stay in USA once your L1 can no longer be extended? That was my understanding...
