I have an offer which is 20% more than my current TC, higher title and they are also offering sign on. Here is my question : Can I ask my management to match this offer or they will just let me go. As far as I know, I am supporting 3-4 critical projects which are due Feb-March 2020 timeframe. If I leave early to mid Jan 2020, it could mean disaster for these projects. There is slower pace now given upcoming holidays so most projects are standstill until we come back to work next year. I dont want to give notice now. If I approach my management in first week of Jan 2020, will they buckle under pressure to match my offer or just let me go? ‘Strike while the iron is hot’
Move on.
Every one is expendable
Move on. If they really wanted to keep you, they'd make it happen once you put in your notice. Offer not even necessary.
Go now. Companies don’t actually care about you. You manager might care on a personal level, but this is just business.
Like in the Godfather. It was just business Michael...
Why would you stay with a firm that doesn't value you properly in the first place?
well no firm does
Take a new offer. Everyone is expendable in this corporate culture. I had new offer with 40% hike. I didn't go because of personal reason.I tried to match it at current organization but my director directly said on face ..there is no way we can match it that offer. They may have done 10-15%. But don't expect more. Next chance that I get I will be out of there.
If you stay.. they will offer you 30% more to make you stay.. and then work on your replacement plan and kick you out later. You will lose .

does this actually happen in reality?
They will forget you 2 weeks after you're gone.
they will forget you two weeks before you are gone
Ofc, we are 100% replaceable. Please do yourself a favor by not favoring your employer. Calculate how much you would be losing each month by delaying the joining and take your decision.
Take it don’t look back. Ps you aren’t as important as you think you are.
yup by design. your ability and power to leave is already p r i c e d i n.
