Are you ditching Wealthfront?

How’s their performance? What’re the alternatives if one wants stress free long term investing?

Why would you put your retirement and investment money in a startup, small company, or other non traditional financial institution? 401k/Roth and invest with a large bank.

What's wrong with Wealthfront?

I wouldn’t take investment advice from a bunch of anonymous 24 year olds, personally.

Wealthfront pretty much just buys vanguard funds on your behalf. I had my risk factor set to a 9 (pretty aggressive), and I’m down 8.3% this year. Meanwhile I also have vanguard where I pick my own funds and I’m doing better, but that mostly because wealthfront bought a lot of emerging markets for me, which is bigly down right now. Theoretically wealthfront should perform well on average. I haven’t been with them for very long to make an informed decision, but they’ve harvested some tax losses for me. But I’m not giving them more money until I see how they perform next year.

Same boat here essentially

Same here actually. In theory they should perform better. Since you have tax loss harvesting on, and Wealthfront invests in schwab funds, so you are investing in Vanguard funds in your own account, which won’t cause wash sale correct?
