After posting about building luxury homes, I would like to answer any questions about living and vacationing in Mexico. From nightlife, restaurants, security & construction/real estate especially crime. I was an American living in high society, if you make a minimum 100k your part of high society.
Is Booz and stuff really cheap in Mexico?
Yes, unless you go to tourist traps such as puerto Vallarta, Cancun etc. A common thing to do is add on extra drinks, extra supposedly mandatory tip on top of the bottle service which is bullshit. I would highly recommend Guadalajara night life
You can buy 1 litre of high quality beer for 1 dollar
How easy are the girls?
The taller and whiter you are the higher your chances. Also, if your American and have money. If you don’t have none of the above, good luck. Mexico has an obsession with dollars, women are gold diggers for ambition & obviously money. Btw, there’s a lot of pale Mexican nationals that look European.
I want to move to Mexico and live as an expat and work a $100k remote job. I have the job lined up. All the other unknowns is what stopping me. 1. Where should I live that is as safe as living in Berkeley, near a beach, lots of restaurants. 2. What do I do for schools for my 6 year old? 3. How does Mexico collect tax?
What exactly is your job? I would highly recommend Zapopan, Jalisco. It’s the wealthiest part of Jalisco next to puerto Vallarta, there’s a lot of security and incorruptible police officers. You’ll be neighbors with powerful politicians, business owners. I actually lived there, and my girlfriend lives over there as well. 2. Put your 6 year old in the “American School” don’t send him to a public school at all. It’s about $10-13,000 tuition a year. 3. Need to know your job and title. I’m guessing oil or consulting for insurance?
Online web freelance contracting gigs. My understanding is that as an expat IRS does not collect tax up to 100k. But I have to pay Mexico's tax?
This should be a permanent thread.
Thank you. Feel free to ask anything, I’m waiting for the guy to ask me where to get prostitutes and yes, the donkey shows AREN’T REAL.
Can I become Mexican citizen?
In Mexico which region has most classy chicks? I mean not miley Cyrus kinda (trashy) class, total opposite of that as a classy category..?
Zapopan which is next to Guadalajara, the girls come from powerful conservative families and drive European cars. Often, these girls vacation to Europe or the United States, to be completely honest they often look more American or European. I’m a dark skinned american-mexican, but a true stereotype is the dark the Mexican the less classier they are. This stereotype has actually has helped me, because people are usually shocked that I have made my money legally and even more than I look more Mexican than they do. Most people of my tone of skin who have money, are always in drugs and when I mean always I mean always.
Thank you so much hermano for all intel! This thread should be made permanent as somebody said 👍🙂
I've been to Mexico City, Guadalajara, Puebla. Im looking to go explore other cities in a few months. Starting off with Oaxaca. Are there any other places in that region you would recommend? And any thoughts on Monterrey? Thanks!
Monterrey is very beautiful, highly recommend it. I’m guessing you would like to visit the small towns for the food and culture correct? For example Oaxaca is known for its famous mole 🤤
Most definitely. Really enjoy the historical and cultural aspects of every small town. And the food is amazing; I'm shocked how underrepresented it is in the US.
What’s the Wall Street and finance regions?
Guadalajara, it’s called punto san paulo Mexico City, it’s called bosque de las lomas & Santa Fe
I’ll post Monterrey in a bit, I forget the name
Can foreigners buy property on the beach? And WTF is going on regarding security. It looks like the central government only has control over Mexico City at this point. I was just down there a month ago
Yes, you’ll need to get a lawyer to put it into a trust. Look for real estate agents in puerto Vallarta, who explain to you the process and exact steps. Above I provided the a simple version. Right now, the government has claim that the “Drug War” has ended which in other words mean turning a blind eye. Btw, fuck Mexico City.
Interesting, are there any coastal areas where you can get 5 to 10 acres that you think we’re good investments right now?
