Let’s say your kid is interested in coding and you see a future of him/her in software engineering. So, let’s say your kid starts to show interest in coding at age 5, when will you train/teach your kid to do leetcode?
By the time my kids are going to be in the workforce - programmers are going to be a dime a dozen. Supply/demand for talent will eventually hit equilibrium, bringing an end to the TC inflation we’ve enjoyed the last decade.
I disagree, there will always be a top 10% that can survive the release cycle of startups and top companies. Also momentum, cost of living here will keep the pay high even though the col is high because of high pay.
Coding is also useful for these jobs: data scientist, ML engineer, PM, engineering manager, business intelligence, IO psychologist, trader / investor / quant, designer, etc
Teach them Coursera cs courses starting at whatever age you want. Leetcode is just interview prep.
Teach them science and, more importantly, how to become a good person. Leetcode doesn’t help
Leetcode on top of being a good person and science definitely helps
If you haven't taught your sperm/eggs to leetcode you're late to the game.
That’s still too late. My wife and I leetcode very hard before trying for a baby
Teach them how to be a good Engineer and most importantly a good human being. Fuc* leetcode!!!
During conception. I will be leetcoding while trying to impregnate. r/F**kCoding
Print out the leets on a paper, shred it into pieces and ask your wife to eat them. And don't sing lullabies, sing leets instead.
Leetcode is for job hoppers. TAOCP has enough pictures and diagrams for a 5 year old who is learning to read to work through the book. Get them set up on a RISC-V emulator to hack on.
Code at age 5, interview at age 12

Is Amazon really that bad if you work 60-80 hour weeks anyway?
Are leetcoders the new doctors and engineers for helicopter parents? Pity their kids!
