Had my "telephonic" interview with Atlassian last week that went really well so they are inviting me to an onsite(Mountain View). Any ideas on what kind of algorithm LC type questions they ask? I have been practicing the Atlassian tagged questions on Leetcode. YOE: 3 TC: Poverty 210k at a Series C startup
LC medium/hard for coding. Design related to one of their product. Behavioral is generic - tell me about conflict faced, most challenging project, failure etc. Good luck!
Thanks buddy. You remember what the medium/hard questions were by any chance or what topics? Like Design Jira/Confluence etc?
Help a brotha out!
What role are you interviewing for?
Backend role not sure which team
I got questions from EPI for new grad
You remember topics for the questions?
Usually 4 rounds: * Values (manager/behavioral) * 2 coding (one labelled coding, one labeled DS & Algorithms but pretty much interchangeable, usually LC medium but a few people do hard. You may or may not be offered a laptop to use, if you have yours with you feel free to ask to use ot - pro-tip, have an IJ or Eclipse project already up to save time. Technically language agnostic but most people here are Java specialists.) * Design (pretty standard - either a web service like Instagram or an infrastructure bit like Redis, recreate from the ground up.) Except for the manager/values interview we are not at all well standardized so a lot depends on the interviewers you get. Sucks but that's how it is.
Not sure what team/interviewer asks design questions related to our products. Have literally never seen that. Also, it does calibrate to level. Not sure what we tell candidates but it can't hurt to ask which rank (or internally, P level) you're being interviewed for.
Thanks for that detailed answer dude really appreciate it. The 2 coding questions , are they essentially just LC Medium/Hard Questions? Like what's up with this round being "coding" and the other being "DS & Algorithms" , same thing right?
Nice! Looks like They've stopped giving take home projects.
Thank god I didn't get that
