Automated email from Google saying someone thinks I should work there

The automated email say XYZ thinks I should work at Google, and has a link to accept his invitation. Once accepted I was given option to apply to three roles within thirty days. I looked up XYZ and he's a manager for YouTube. I don't know him. Happy to receive such an invitation, but what does it mean? Is my chance of getting interview higher than applying uninvited? And if you are reading blind, thank you, product manager at YouTube TV!

That is a referral. May have been sent to the wrong person?

This is the standard email that goes out when you get referred by a googler

He's probably just looking for that referral bonus 💸💸💸

AFAIK hiring managers are excluded from the referral bonus.

I have had this a few times. Turned out to be employees cruising LinkedIn and submitting names for referrals.
