Do you know if it's for a CSA or CSE position? Associate will likely pay around 70k base, 20k-40k RSUs over 4 years, 10k sign on, and 10k relo. Engineer will be closer to 90k base, 15-20 bonus, with similar relo and RSU

Depends on the level but I'd say 2 years probably a L4 SupEng III so like 110-120 Relo is separate but at L4 itll be 7k grossed up
FWIW, coming in as a CSE can be a good route to the SA path if you have good soft skills and a passion for learning. One of the L5 SAs on my team worked up that way and he's awesome.
This is my goal currently. Soon as I get L5 I'm gonna go for SA

Its what you make of it. My boy went from L4 CSA to L4 CSE to L4 SA (same level but honestly 2 promotions with raises) in under 15 months. Dude was killing metrics though. I've seen others take 5 years bouncing between CSA, CSE, TAM, Engagement Manager. All still great roles and comp increase everytime as well.
